Israeli officials: Hamas didn’t hand over body to Red Cross, rather ‘findings’ requested by Jerusalem

According to an Israeli official, Hamas is handing over something found yesterday in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood. Jerusalem asked for it to be transferred by the Red Cross so that it can be examined inside of Israel, says the official.
The clarification comes after Al Jazeera reported that Hamas had just handed over another body of a hostage to the Red Cross. There are three bodies that currently remain in Gaza.
Earlier this month, at Israel’s request, Hamas handed over partial remains of three bodies, which were not identified as belonging to any hostages.
