Knesset Hebraicizes “coalition” and “opposition”

The Knesset has officially renamed the “opposition and “coalition,” Hebraicizing the words to “Negda” and “Yahda” respectively.

Until now, the two factions were refereed to by the English-Hebrew words oppozitzia and koalitzia.

The change, which will manifest itself in signs outside the Knesset plenary and on official Knesset documents, comes after the Academy of the Hebrew Language designated the new words.
