Male Border Police commander charged with assault, indecent act against female recruit in ‘initiation ceremony’

The Department of Internal Police Investigations indicts a male squadron commander in the West Bank Border Police who allegedly beat and committed an indecent act against a female recruit as part of an on-base “initiation ceremony.”

The commander allegedly brought the woman into the mess hall of the Jerusalem-area base, asked her questions and hit her when she answered wrong.

He then allegedly pulled her hair, sat over her and forcefully brought her head toward his groin.

He is charged at the Petah Tikva Magistrate’s Court with arbitrary assault and an indecent act.
