Netanyahu said to back September 1 school opening

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has told his Likud faction that he will support Education Minister Yoav Gallant’s plan to open schools as normal, on September 1, Channel 13 reports.

Netanyahu makes the comments during the closed part of the meeting, according to the report.

Gallant told a Knesset committee earlier in the day that the year would open on September 1, “despite the difficulties.”
