Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks to the parents of Cpt. Omer Neutra and Staff Sgt. Oz Daniel after their remains were returned to Israel last night from Gaza.
According to his office, Netanyahu sends his condolences to the families and says he is embracing them during this difficult time.
The Prime Minister’s Office says that the Neutra and Daniel families asked Netanyahu to “act with the same determination” to bring home the remaining eight bodies still being held in Gaza.
Netanyahu tells the families that he will not rest until everyone is returned home, his office says.
Neutra and Daniel, members of the same tank crew, were slain together on October 7 as they fought to repel the Hamas attack on southern Israel, and their bodies were kidnapped that day and held for two years.
Netanyahu spoke earlier today with the family of Col. Asaf Hamami, whose remains were also returned last night.
