Netanyahu welcomes nominee for new IDF chief, wishes him ‘much success’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleOpposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu issues a brief statement welcoming the nomination of deputy IDF commander Herzi Halevi as next military chief, wishing him “much success” in the post.
Herzi was chosen over Eyal Zamir, a former deputy chief of staff who served as a military secretary to the prime minister when Netanyahu was in power.
