US believes Assad used chemical weapons at least 50 times
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley says Washington believes Syrian President Bashar Assad’s regime used chemical weapons at least 50 times during the country’s civil war.
Haley says if the United States and its allies decide to act in Syria, it will be to defend a principle. “All nations and all peoples will be harmed if we allow Assad to make use of chemical weapons normal,” she adds.
