Police chief visits sites hit by Iranian missiles in central Israel

Police Commissioner Danny Levy toured the sites where Iranian missiles impacted in central Israel earlier today.

“The scale of destruction is vast… Our hearts are with the families and civilians who were harmed,” Levy says in a statement, praising civilians’ discipline in adhering to the Home Front Command’s safety guidelines, which “undoubtedly prevented the loss of more lives.”

Levy also saluted the police officers who helped rescue victims trapped under rubble in the wake of the Iranian missile barrages.

The police chief was accompanied by Tel Aviv District Commander Haim Sargarof, who briefed him on law enforcement’s activity at the impact sites.

A police spokesman says bomb disposal specialists are still working to rule out the presence of explosive material in the residential areas struck by Iranian missiles overnight in Rishon Lezion and Ramat Gan.
