Police nab suspicious man near EU parliament
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleBelgian police detain a citizen of Slovakia who was wearing camouflage gear and seen near the European Parliament. A search of the man’s car, Reuters reports, reveals a gun and an electric chainsaw.
The man tells his interrogators he was planning to meet “the president of the [European] Union.”
Earlier today 500 people were evacuated from the European Compound premises due to a suspicious vehicle parked near the area.
