The Health Ministry announces six more deaths from the coronavirus, bringing Israel’s toll to 612.
The 10 deaths from midnight to 7 p.m. put Monday on pace to be among the deadliest days since the pandemic began.
The number of cumulative cases is up to 84,381, meaning there were over 1,700 new cases over the last 24 hours, despite lower testing numbers Sunday.
Three hundred and eighty-eight people are in serious condition, including 112 on ventilators.
Though the number of people hospitalized has risen above 800, hospitals which were once overcapacity now report being under capacity, likely pointing to a change in how they define capacity.
