A mortar shell was fired from Gaza into Israel on Thursday. No one was injured in the incident.

The attack came only hours after Palestinian snipers opened fire toward an Israeli farmer in the same area, near Kibbutz Nir Oz. The man wasn’t injured, taking cover behind a tractor until IDF troops arrived and removed him from the area. The tractor was damaged in the incident.

In response to the sniper fire, the IDF targeted unpopulated areas in the Gaza Strip.

On Wednesday, shots were fired toward an armored military jeep near the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
