Two rockets explode near Ashkelon
Missiles follow a night of heavy mortar fire from the Gaza Strip

Two Kassam rockets hit the Hof Ashkelon region on Monday. The rockets exploded in an open area and there were no reports of injury or damage.

On Sunday night Palestinians in Gaza fired dozens of mortars at Israeli communities near the border with the Hamas-controlled enclave. There were no injuries. Residents spent the night in shelters for security.
