Cars in Jerusalem reported torched, but much of country quiet

Few disturbances have been reported inside Israel, a sign that ethnic tensions that have wracked the country in recent days may have calmed.

In Jerusalem, however, things remain tense. Channel 12 reports that two Jewish-owned cars in the Abu Tor neighborhood have been torched.

In Shiekh Jarrah, an East Jerusalem neighborhood that has been the center of protests and was the scene of a suspected ramming attack earlier in the day, police have bolstered a checkpoint with large concrete blocks, Kan reports.
