COGAT says it has met ceasefire’s requirement for 600 aid trucks to enter Gaza each day
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleCOGAT, the Israeli military body responsible for facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza, says 4,200 trucks of assistance entered Gaza over the past week, carrying food, fuel, medical supplies, tents and shelter equipment.
“This is in accordance with the terms of the deal for the return of Israeli hostages from Hamas captivity,” COGAT says. The deal stipulates that 600 trucks of aid should enter Gaza each day.
“So far, since the start of the hostage release deal, 16,800 trucks of aid entered Gaza. We look forward to and anticipate the return of all hostages to their families,” COGAT says.
4,200 humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip this week, carrying food, fuel, medical supplies, tents and shelter equipment.
This is in accordance with the terms of the deal for the return of Israeli hostages from Hamas captivity.
