Four detained at Tel Aviv anti-government rally calling for hostage deal, end of war

Police have arrested at least four anti-government protesters on Tel Aviv’s Begin Road, according to a lawyer group offering pro bono services to people detained at anti-government demonstrations.

Three protesters were taken to the nearby Lev Tel Aviv police station, and another was put into a police car before being taken to a police station, the Protest Detainee Legal Support Front says.

Haaretz reports that protesters were detained for blocking traffic on Namir Road, a major route that feeds into Begin.

Protesters marched to the area, outside the IDF headquarters, after demonstrating at Rabin Square. The rally and march were led by soldiers’ mothers who are demanding an end to the war in Gaza.
