German FM: Israeli-UAE deal shows that Mideast peace is possible
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleGerman Foreign Minister Heiko Maas tells a joint press conference with Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi and Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah Bin Zayed al-Nahyan that their willingness to meet in Berlin and tour the Holocaust memorial together “shows how serious you are in your efforts for good bilateral relations.”
He calls the ties between the countries “a historic step.”
“This shows that peaceful coexistence in the Middle East is possible,” he says.
