Hamas says rocket barrage revenge for Gaza airstrike that killed dozens
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleHamas’s armed wing, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, says that the recent missile barrage in southern Israel was in response to an Israeli airstrike overnight that was said to kill at least 37 Palestinians in Gaza.
The attack was also in response to alleged police brutality against demonstrators in Sheikh Jarrah, a spokesperson for the al-Qassam Brigades says.
“The Al-Qassam Brigades are now launching large missile barrages….in response to the heinous massacre of children, women and civilians in Gaza City, and the attack on the people of Sheikh Jarrah and those in solidarity with them,” the spokesperson says.
