IDF: Gazans shot at aircraft, hit Sderot homes
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe bullets that hit a number of homes in the southern city of Sderot were the result of gunshots fired by Palestinians in Gaza at an Israeli military aircraft, officials say.
“A short while ago, shots were fired at an IDF aircraft. Rounds hit a number of homes in Sderot,” the city says in a statement.
The army says the bullets were large caliber rounds fired by members of a terrorist group in Gaza.
“The IDF sees this as a serious event and holds Hamas responsible for everything that occurs in the Gaza Strip,” the army says.
