Earlier today, the IDF says it opened fire on several Palestinian suspects who crossed the so-called Yellow Line — to which the military withdrew to as part of the ceasefire — in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis.

According to Palestinian media, one person was killed in the incident in the al-Fukhari area.

The IDF says that the suspects approached troops in a way that posed an immediate threat to them, and also attempted to reach a Hamas weapon depot which had been destroyed previously by the military.

“The troops opened fire to remove a threat, in accordance with the deal,” the military says, adding that it calls on Gazans to avoid approaching areas where troops are still deployed as part of the ceasefire agreement.
