Lebanese army coordinating with US-led commission on deployment to southern town after ‘withdrawal of the Israeli occupation’

The Lebanese army says “coordination is underway” with the US-led trilateral Military Coordination Group for Lebanon (MCG4L) for the deployment of its forces in the town of Zawtar al-Gharbiya, “following the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from it.”

The LAF warns Lebanese civilians not to head to the town “and to comply with the instructions of the deployed military units to ensure their safety.”

LAF forces, meanwhile, are continuing to carry out patrol missions in Froun and Srifa, towns in one of the two pilot zones as part of the framework agreement with Israel.
