Lebanese media overnight published footage of displaced residents in southern Lebanon celebrating news of an agreement between Iran and the United States, amid reports that the deal also includes a de-escalation between Israel and Hezbollah.

In addition, residents were filmed this morning in the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh attempting to return to their homes, apparently believing that the agreement would allow them to do so.

No official ceasefire in Lebanon or organized return of residents to their homes has been announced so far, and the Lebanese government has even warned residents against rushing home.

Hezbollah, as well as Iran and mediator Pakistan, have said the ceasefire also includes Lebanon.
