Opposition leader Tzipi Livni is interested in joining a prospective electoral alliance between former chiefs of staff Benny Gantz and Moshe Ya’alon, Channel 10 news reports.
However, Gantz and Ya’alon are wary of joining forces with Livni due to her association with the Israeli left, according to the network.
Livni is the head of Hatnua, which alongside the Labor Party makes up the Zionist Union faction.
Her reported interest in teaming up with Gantz and Ya’alon comes as the two are said to be in talks to form a joint electoral list ahead of early Knesset elections in April.
Earlier today, Gantz registered his new party Israel Resilience, formally marking his entry to politics. Ya’alon, a former defense minister from Likud, announced earlier this week he would set up his own party.
