Minister says Israel may be forced to re-take Gaza
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleEnergy Minister Yuval Steinitz says Israel may have to re-capture the Gaza Strip to put an end to the ongoing terror attacks emanating from the Palestinian territory.
“We may have no choice, we will have to strike in Gaza and conquer it, and put once and for all the end of this terrorist regime,” Steinitz tells the Ynet news site.
Steinitz, a member of the high-level security cabinet, says that Israel “is not interested in conquering Gaza, and we hope that we won’t be forced to, so it’s important that our response be sharp so the situation doesn’t deteriorate into something much worse.”
