There are reports of air defense activity over the Eilat area in southern Israel.
Images show a trail of smoke, likely from an Israeli interceptor missile, and people in the area report having heard a large blast.
There is no immediate comment from the Israel Defense Forces on the incident.
Earlier, the IDF said it detected an “aerial target” approaching Israeli territory after air infiltration sirens were triggered in Eilat.
Some reports claimed a projectile was intercepted over the Red Sea, and Yemen’s Houthi government said its drones had been launched at Israel.
