Rocket sirens again sound in Eshkol region

After nearly an hour of relative quiet, sirens sound again in the Eshkol region, sending residents into bomb shelters.

The army says it is looking into what set off the system.

In some cases throughout the day, the alarm appears to have been triggered by machine gun fire, not by incoming mortar shells or rockets.

Residents of the region report hearing loud explosions.
