The Israeli diplomat’s wife wounded in a bomb attack in New Delhi returned to Israel, Israel Radio reported Friday afternoon.

Tal Yehoshua Koren returned to Israel in a special ambulance plane arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Defense Ministry. Doctors at the Primus Super Specialty Hospital cleared her for travel earlier Friday.

On arrival in Israel, Yehoshua Koren was transferred to Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, where she will undergo further medical treatments. She will return to New Delhi once her condition improves, Channel 10 reported.

Yehoshua Koren, the wife of an Israeli Defense Ministry representative to India, woke for the first time on Tuesday, a day after the bombing. The bomb reportedly was attached to the car in which she was riding by someone on a motorcycle and detonated remotely.

Some reports say that Koren realized what happened and began exiting the car before the explosion. She was taken to the hospital by rickshaw, Ynet reported.

The Associated Press reported that shrapnel was removed from her spine and that she has partial paralysis in her legs.

Israel has blamed Iran for the attack. Indian authorities say they do not yet have the evidence to draw that conclusion.
