Forest fire contained near Jerusalem

Blaze burns down 2.5 acres, no injuries or damage to structures reported

Six firefighting crews were called out to battle a blaze in a forest near Jerusalem Monday afternoon.

Firefighters and two planes were able to control and douse the flames after the fire burned down 2.5 acres of forest near the village of Nataf, west of Jerusalem.

No injuries or damage to structures were reported.

There was no report on the cause of the blaze, the latest in a string of small fires that have plagued the country in recent weeks.
