A man in his thirties died from severe injuries after plummeting 80 meters during a hike in the Judean Desert, near the Dead Sea, Friday afternoon.

Ein Gedi rescue services pronounced the man dead after an hours-long effort to reach the injured hiker in the Salvadoura Valley.

Rescue workers succeeded in rescuing three other tourists who were hiking with the man. They were stuck helpless on a large boulder some 300 meters above ground.
