A burning truck on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway caused police to shut down Route1 in both directions on Thursday morning.

The highway is one of Israel’s most important and busy routes, and acts as the main artery to the country’s capital.

Last month, a large brush fire shut down traffic on the road for hours, creating massive traffic jams around the capital.
