Man dies in hospital after being hit while crossing tracks

A man died after being hit by a train in Hadera on Wednesday. Police opened an investigation into the incident.

The man, in his 30s, was struck while crossing the tracks approximately 50 meters north of the train station. An ambulance crew rushed him to hospital, where he died of his wounds.

Trains were temporarily halted after the incident on the section of line between Binyamina and Netanya while police investigators studied the scene of the accident.
