Man opens fire in hotel in Eilat

Shooter holding hostages in hotel kitchen; police on the scene reporting several injuries; shooter’s motive unknown

A man reportedly opened fire indiscriminately in an Eilat hotel on Friday morning. Police reported several injuries, and large forces of police and Magen David Adom were on the scene.

Employees at the Leonardo Club Hotel Eilat said that the shooter was holding hostages in the hotel’s kitchen.
