Man killed falling into manhole in Dvorah
Two others in critical condition after inhaling noxious fumes
A man was killed and two others were critically injured Monday when they fell into a manhole in Dvorah, near the city of Afulah in northern Israel, Channel 10 reported.
Two utility workers fell into the sewer, and one was killed, while the other was severely hurt. A third man fell in when he attempted to help the two workers and was also in critical condition.
Police and firefighters were on the scene and aiding in the rescue and evacuation of the injured men, who had lost consciousness after inhaling noxious fumes in the sewer.
A helicopter was also on hand in order to evacuate them to hospital.
