Jimmy Kimmel challenges his audience to guess whether Brooklyn’s bearded are Hipsters or Hasidic Jews

Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel introduced a new, distinctly Jewish game on his ABC show Jimmy Kimmel Live onFriday.

In the game, called “Hipster or Hasidic,” audience members were challenged to vote on whether the close-up photo of a beard is sported by a counter-culture avant-garde bohemian or a religious Jew following the halachic prohibition against shaving.

The task appears to be rather difficult, as audience members repeatedly got the wrong answer, misidentifying ultra-fashionable urbanites for Hasidic yeshiva boys.

Some looks, it seems, never go out of style.
