Two men were gunned down in Acre on Wednesday night, apparently as part of a dispute between rival gangs, police said.

The men, identified as Muhammad Salem, 30, and Amir Najjar, 24, both of Acre, were found dead in a car at the entrance to a residential parking garage, with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies, shortly before 6 p.m. An unidentified assailant was seen shooting at the men before fleeing on foot.

Police noted that the victims were known criminals.
