Magid delves into Vance’s statements at a press conference in the new Civil-Military Coordination Center in Kiryat Gat. The CMCC, says Magid, is a new hub inside Israel where participating countries will try to monitor the ceasefire, adjudicate violations and handle the movement of goods into Gaza, with a more ambitious role in the future.
Vance discussed the role other countries could play, including Turkey, Magid also notes, explaining Israel’s resistance to that idea.
