Government hostage pointman speaks to family of Maxim Herkin after latest Hamas propaganda video

Government hostage pointman Gal Hirsch speaks with the family of Maxim Herkin after Hamas releases a propaganda video of the hostage.

According to Hirsch’s office, the parents implored that Israeli news outlets not air the video of their son.

In the video, Herkin appears to be bandaged up. Hamas claims that he was in a tunnel allegedly targeted in an Israeli airstrike.

Last week, Hamas published a highly-produced propaganda video showing operatives rescuing a hostage, claimed to be Herkin, from under sand inside a tunnel.
