Hamas warns Israel of ‘consequences and repercussions’ over border crossing closure
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleHamas spokesperson Fawzi Barhoun calls the closure of Gaza’s only commercial crossing with Israel an aggressive action and a crime for which the Jewish state “bears all consequences and repercussions.”
Barhoum appears to threaten consequences for the closure of Kerem Shalom, which Israel closed after waves of balloons were launched toward Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip in recent days.
“It is the right of our people in Gaza to express a state of anger and to make their voice heard again to the world that has not moved a finger about the continuation of this suffering,” Barhoum says.
Barhoum says the “use of tools and forms of struggle to express a state of anger” is a natural result of Israel’s blockade of the Gaza Strip.
