Head of Hamas’s northern Gaza police said killed in Israeli strike; known as ‘governor of north Gaza’
An Israeli airstrike earlier today killed the head of the Hamas-led police force in the northern Gaza Strip, Brigadier-General Abdel-Nasser Al-Maqadma, the terror group’s interior ministry and medics say.
Maqadma is known as the “governor of northern Gaza.” He was killed by an Israeli airstrike in the Sheikh Radwan area north of Gaza City, the group said.
In a separate incident, another Israeli strike killed a Palestinian medic in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip, medics say. They add that a police officer, wounded by an Israeli airstrike last week, died today.
There is no immediate comment from the Israel Defense Forces on any of the incidents.
