An Israeli Air Force helicopter ferried unspecified equipment and humanitarian aid to Syrian Druze in the Sweida area of southern Syria, some 70 kilometers from Israel, Army Radio reports, citing sources with knowledge of the matter.

Syrian media reported that an IAF helicopter had landed in the Sweida area last night, but reportedly to pick up several wounded Druze who were brought to Ziv Hospital in Safed.

The IDF has not commented on the claims that it delivered aid to Syrian Druze overnight, but did confirm that five wounded were evacuated to Israel for treatment.
