Incoming Israeli Air Force chief Maj. Gen. Omer Tischler says the force is “closely monitoring” the situation in Iran.

“We are closely monitoring what is happening in Iran, and are prepared to take the entire Air Force eastward, if we are required to do so,” he says at a handover ceremony.

Tischler replaces Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, who served in the role for four years.
