Piers Corbyn, brother of former UK Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, has been arrested for disseminating a leaflet that compared the country’s vaccination campaign against COVID-19 to the Auschwitz death camp, British media reports.
Corbyn, an anti-vaccination activist and conspiracy theorist, was behind the concept for the leaflet that was shared online and pushed into doors of homes in London.
It replaced the words “Arbeit Macht Frei” (“Work sets you free”) that adorned the main gate to the infamous Nazi camp with the words “Vaccines are safe path to freedom.”
Police arrested Corbyn and another man, accusing them of “malicious communications and public nuisance.”
