Lawmakers clear legislative agenda ahead of likely initial reading of bill to dissolve Knesset Wednesday

Ahead of Wednesday’s expected preliminary vote on a bill to dissolve the Knesset, all legislation is removed from the parliamentary plenum agenda for today.
Without any legislation, the agenda only includes three separate pro-forma motions for a vote of no-confidence in the government and a government announcement that the Israel National Digital Directorate will be transferred from the authority of Economy Ministry to the Prime Minister’s Office.
The exact timeline for passing the Knesset dissolution bill remains unclear, though it is likely that the legislation will be pushed through the Knesset quickly. After passing its preliminary reading, the bill will need to go to committee and then pass three readings in the plenum.
