PIJ official at terror chief’s funeral: Netanyahu escalating for political ends
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleSenior Gaza-based Islamic Jihad official Khaled al-Batsh, speaking at the funeral of a senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad commander killed in an Israeli strike, says Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is escalating the violence for his own political needs.
“This return to assassinations by way of a major address — that of Baha Abu al-Ata, Abu Salim — is a message that we are carefully reading. By taking [this action],.. the criminal Netanyahu would like to put his government back together and enjoy the backing of the majority there, once again at the expense of our blood,” he tells a crowd at Gaza’s Omari Mosque.
