Police say remains discovered near Jerusalem belong to Finnish tourist missing since 2024

Skeletal remains discovered in a wooded area in Jerusalem earlier this month belong to a Finnish tourist who went missing in 2024, police announce.

The woman’s bones were discovered three weeks ago near the northern neighborhood of Pisgat Ze’ev.

Police sent the remains to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute, where the DNA sample was matched with the deceased tourist.

The tourist’s family has been notified, police add.
