Rights group blasts army over closing of investigation into ‘Black Friday’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe left-wing B’Tselem human rights group condemns the military’s decision to close its case on “Black Friday,” the name for the IDF’s offensive in the city of Rafah during the 2014 Gaza war in which approximately 70 Palestinian civilians were killed, alongside some 40 armed combatants.
“The military advocate general again proves that it does not matter how many Palestinians are killed and how arbitrary the reasons are for their deaths by the army. He, standing at the head of a white-washing Israeli mechanism, will always find a way to bury the facts,” the group says.
