Spain demands release of flotilla activist after Israel extends detention

Spain renews a demand for the “immediate release” of a Spanish activist who participated in a Gaza-bound aid flotilla and is held in Israel after his detention was extended until Sunday.
Spain’s consul in Tel Aviv will continue to visit Saif Abu Keshek, “providing full protection and in permanent contact with his family,” foreign ministry sources say. “The government of Spain demands his immediate release and that all his rights be respected.”
