The Tekuma Directorate tasked with rehabilitating the Gaza border area in the wake of the deadly October 7, 2023 Hamas invasion, announces that work has begun on a new amphitheater at a cost of NIS 30 million ($10 million).

Built on a 20-dunam (five-acre) site, the venue, due to open in January, will host live performances, festivals, municipal ceremonies, and community events.

The amphitheater will seat 2,000 and has lawn space for an additional 3,000.
