A children’s program on Palestinian Authority TV said that all of Israel is Palestinian land.
“I have never entered Israel or Gaza,” said a boy, who was a guest on the show earlier this month, according to a Palestinian Media Watch translation released Monday.
“What Israel? It’s our land,” replied the host.
The boy recovered, responding with “Israel is our land — the 1948 lands.”
“Our land, occupied Palestine,” added the host. “It’s Haifa, Jaffa, Acre. These are our occupied lands, the 1948 lands that Israel occupied in 1948. Israel occupied them in 1948. These are Palestinian lands and will remain Palestinian. Allah willing, they will return to us some day and will not be under the rule of the occupation.”
In May, the official PA daily paper published an op-ed piece which called Israel a “monstrosity,” whose creation was “a crime unprecedented in history.”
The opinion piece, published in Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, said that “the occupation of Palestine was the greatest crime known to humanity” and noted that since 1948, the Palestinian people have been using “all the means and methods at its disposal” to regain their “stolen” land.
