Nazareth police were able to save the life of an Israeli teenager on Monday night after he posted a suicide note on Facebook.

Elem, the Organization for Youth in Distress in Israel, contacted the police with the teen’s last name after the young man posted his intentions on the social networking site. After visiting the homes of 10 families with a similar last name, police were able to locate the boy and save his life.

The teenager had already swallowed the pills, and was hospitalized for  treatment.
