77-year-old actress injured after falling 3 floors down elevator shaft in Tel Aviv
Tracy Abramovich taken to hospital in serious condition after suffering a multisystem injury

Actress Tracy Abramovich was seriously injured this week after falling three stories in her Tel Aviv apartment building as it underwent renovation work.
Abramovich, 77, was leaving her home Tuesday when she fell through an exposed elevator shaft and was taken to Sourasky Medical Center with a multisystem injury. Her identity was made public on Wednesday.
The incident took place at a Tel Aviv residential building. According to first responders, Abramovich was found at the bottom of the shaft after having fallen from the third floor. Luckily, plastic bags and cardboard boxes that were left at the bottom of the shaft had tempered the impact of the fall.
A Channel 12 report from Wednesday found that 24 hours after the accident, the security hazard had not yet been addressed, leaving the building’s tenants concerned.
“There are children and old people in the building,” one tenant wrote in a text message shared by the network. “Is anyone thinking about them?”
The contractor who was in charge of renovating the building said he had not been paid in four months and considered his agreement with the building’s owners null and void.
Police have opened an investigation into the incident.

Abramovich has been active in Israeli theater since the early 1990s and has starred in several Israeli films including “Six Million Pieces” (2001), “A Group Portrait with a Woman” (2003) and “Three Mothers” (2006). She also played a role in the recent teen series “Kfula,” which stars pop star Noa Kirel.
